Company History

  • In 1799, Fickert & Winterling were for the first time mentioned in a land register, at that time still under their name “Glasschleif”.
  • On 1st January, 1885, the “Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei Emil Offenbacher” [Machine Factory and Iron Foundry ] was established.
  • On 1st June, 1940 Heinrich Fickert and his wife Elsbeth Winterling took over Fickert & Winterling.
  • Takeover of Fickert & Winterling by the „Spezialfabrik für Präzisionsschneidwerkzeuge Ernst Reime GmbH & Co. KG, Nürnberg“ [Precision-Tools Manufacturer].
  • On 1st September, 1994 Finnish group Makron Oy took over the management of Fickert & Winterling on.
  • From 1st May, 1996 onwards, Fickert & Winterling changed their name and were registered by their new name „Makron-Fickert & Winterling GmbH”;
  • On 1st June 2000, “Fickert & Winterling Maschinenbau GmbH” was established as a Private Limited Company.

Obituary | Harald Seeberger † 02.07.2016

At the age of only 57, Harald Seeberger died after a serious illness. Harald Seeberger was a family entrepreneur with heart and soul. In 2010, he appointed his cousin Jörg Kraus as an equal managing partner. In 2012, he brought his children Maximilian and Stefanie into the business after their training. Harald Seeberger was committed to his company until his death.
